GET INVOLVED

Want to be part of a national network that conducts multi-site paediatric inpatient research?

PIRN is made up of 19 hospital sites that includes all academic children’s hospitals & several community hospitals across Canada.  Each year annual membership fees are collected from each site to assist with the development of communications and infrastructure within PIRN.

Becoming a PIRN member offers healthcare providers, trainees, researchers, youth and parents a national platform to collaborate, advance knowledge, and improve care of patients and families. Opportunities for capacity building exist in the form of mentorship, educational events, and access to a network of national experts on a diversity of topics (e.g. clinical trials, epidemiology, health services research, and patient engagement).

LAND ACKNOWLEDGEMENT

We would like to acknowledge the land on which SickKids operates. For thousands of years it has been the traditional land of the Huron-Wendat and Petun First Nations, the Seneca, and most recently, the Mississaugas of the Credit River. Today, Toronto is home to Indigenous Peoples from across Turtle Island. SickKids is committed to working toward new relationships that include First Nations, Inuit, and Métis peoples, and is grateful for the opportunity to share this land in caring for children and their families.
